LEGO Yamato is completed after 3 years of LEGO shipbuilding!
50 pounds (22.68 kilograms) separates into 3 sections for easy transport.
LEGO Yamato ship is 1"/108" scale. It is 8' long (8'+6" if you add the water), 14" wide & 18" tall. Over 25,000+ LEGO bricks used.

I'm making a diorama of 'Operation Ten-Go'   (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Ten-Go)
from World War II. Making Japanese Destroyer Yukikaze. It will only be 43" long & about 4" or 5" wide. Yukikaze will be built to the same scale 1"/108".

I will also build 2 or 3 American Torpedo planes performing an attack torpedo run on the Japanese ships. I haven't decided if the American planes will be either Hellcats, Helldivers or Avengers. The planes will be built to the same scale 1"/108" & they will only be about 5" long & about 5" wide.

The Yukikaze is a LEGO build currently in progress, then the American planes will be the last to build.
Thank you for being a part of the journey. :-) 5-9-09

Stay tuned...
